Probably one of the most popular shopping cities in the world, New York has something to offer everyone. From department stores in Midtown Manhattan to small farmers' markets in Brooklyn, this city has a wide variety of products to fit any lifestyle. The Big Apple is a special destination for shopping on vacation if you come from Europe and the exchange rate will turn out in their favor. The most famous shopping streets of New York 

When it comes to shopping, the luxury fashion streets of New York are the best known in the world. Who has not heard of Broadway and Fifth Avenue? Basically any avenue that goes from north to south of Manhattan includes a variety of boutiques between 14th Street and 59th Street. The article provides a quick overview of the best shopping streets in Manhattan and its famous shops.

Let's start with the most famous of them all. You can not go to New York without walking down Fifth Avenue. La Quinta Avenida (5th Avenue) from north to south across Manhattan and the main shopping area can be found between 14th Street to 59th Street. Fifth Avenue is best known for its luxury boutiques and department stores. You can find Apple Store, Bergdorf Goodman, Abercrombie & Fitch, Banana Republic, Gucci, H & M, Michael Kors, Prada, Victoria's Secret, Tiffany & Co, and many more stores on Fifth Avenue.
If Fifth Avenue is the most famous street in New York, then Broadway is the second. It is the longest street in Manhattan, and is often thought of it as a zone. Broadway begins at the northern tip of Manhattan and goes to down to Lower Manhattan. In the Upper West Side, you'll find many different shops on Broadway. Near Columbia University no great shops, lie a little below find larger stores like American Apparel and Urban Outfitters, along with smaller shops. In Midtown Manhattan, Broadway is more famous for its theaters, but also find many good shops in this part of town. Finally, in Lower Manhattan and Soho, Broadway has many reputable shops like Topshop or Bloomingdales.

Herald Square just south of Times Square is best known for the Macy's flagship store, but also has a store besides Victoria Secret Gap and many others. You can also buy the shadow of the Empire State Building, which is a nice plus.

The shops of Madison Square Park and Union Square especially just south of Madison are full of fantastic shops. Eataly is right across from the Flatiron Building, which is the place you must go if you like cooking and Italian cuisine. Union Square has a large Barnes & Noble where you can read for hours and in the other part of the square is a Whole Foods to do some shopping.

The south side of Union Square is part of 14th Street, a street that runs from west to east in Lower Manhattan. In the west 14th Street runs from the Meatpacking District where many shops emerge, while in the east bordering the East Village where you will find many independent shops.

Shopping Centers in New York

The Time Warner Center near Columbus Circle is a commercial center with shops.

The Manhattan Mall near Herald Square and offers a selection of shops. Great JC Penney's is the flagship store of the mall, but also find Victoria's Secret, Hallmark, Radio Shack and more.
Grand Central Terminal is more known for its food court where you can find all kinds of culinary delights. However, Grand Cental Station also offers a large collection of different stores from Banana Republic to Swatch.

Queens Center Mall is a large shopping center in Queens, offering the best prices in Manhattan. You will find stores like Target, Best Buy, Macy's and Designer Shoe Warehouse.
The Staten Island Mall in Staten Island offers good value for money. Look for the section of H & M sales or head to the big Victoria's Secret. The large shopping center has enough shops to keep you busy all afternoon.

Newport Centre is probably the largest shopping mall on our list. It is a huge mall in Jersey that offers many trendy shops and also a large food court. Bath & Body Works, Forever 21 and Kohl's are only a couple of shops you will find in this mall. Prices are also considerably better than in New York because of low taxes in New Jersey. If you go to the movies in New York, this shopping center has a great cinema AMC which is much cheaper than in the city. You can also easily go to the Newport Centre in Newport taking the PATH line and get off at the first stop after Manhattan.

Department Store in New York 

Manhattan is famous for having some of the most popular shopping centers. The following are just a few of the city can offer.

The flagship Macy's in Herald Square is something to admire. The store covers an entire block, even if you do not want to buy anything, the window shows a nice view. This Macy's is just one of many that can be found throughout the city. Huge Macy's is in Downtown Brooklyn is also very good and is considerably less crowded. Century 21 in Lower Manhattan is the ideal discounts on designer clothes destination. Here's a tip to help you on your purchases: Never buy designer clothing store face before check what they have in this store with discounts. For other New York entirely, go to one of the largest flea markets and farmers markets in the city. Whether you are looking for a vintage lamp or fresh vegetables, the markets in New York will not disappoint you.

Markets There are many in the city. The flea market in Hell's Kitchen offers a variety of antiques, vintage clothing and even original art and is open from Saturdays to Sundays from 9 to 17 The Market Brooklyn Fort Green is usually less crowded than Hell's Kitchen, but yet it is full of New Yorkers. The collection Outlets Jersey Gardens offers some of the best prices on the outskirts of New York. This large market has outlet clothing from Ralph Lauren, Victoria's Secret, Ann Taylor, Forever 21 and many other popular stores. If you take the bus from Port Authority Bus Terminal to Jersey Gardens come in 35 minutes.

The Woodbury Common Premium Outlet is an outlet product almost exclusively shops. The discounts are great, but should be prepared to pay a fair amount of money for designer clothes as Burberry, Ralph Lauren, Gucci, Prada and others.

The town of Westbury has many outlets, including the most popular are The Gallery at Westbury Plaza, a Bloomingdale's outlet. This outlet is considerably smaller than the other two on our list, but for many people that's a good thing because it is much more understandable.
